June 20th is Father’s Day.
Again this year we wish to remember our dear fathers who have been called by God to eternal life. But due to the pandemic we are not able to place the books in the church. Therefore, we invite you to call the Parish Office to add the names of your deceased fathers. They will be remembered and prayed for at all the Masses on Father’s Day.
Bishop Tamayo joyfully announces the Rite of Rededication of San Augustin Cathedral is set for June 5th at 10:00 AM.
On May 21st we celebrate the Feast of St. Eugene de Mazenod, OMI, founder of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, Patron Saint of the Dysfunctional Families.
We entrust all of our families under his care and pray that through his intercession we may follow Our Lord Jesus very closely.
Prayer to St. Eugene
God of Mercy, bring to my family and me a more favorable future.
Restore in us what is lacking in love, unity and peace.
Keep us focused on Jesus, your Son.
May He, our Savior and Lord, touch us with tenderness, and end our present pain and sorrow.
Through the prayers of St. Eugene de Mazenod, Patron Saint of troubled and dysfunctional families, may our difficulties be lifted as we experience the healing power of Your love for us.
Through the gift of your grace, transform our struggles into stepping stones leading to your Kingdom. Fill our hearts with joy and trust as we continue our journey forward in faith. Lead us to wholeness, holiness, and heavenly glory.
Saint Eugene, Pray for Us.

Mother’s Day is all about celebrating the woman who raised us and shaped who we are as a person. Yes! She bore us in her womb carefully and brought us into the world with a lot of joy. If we are enjoying the beauty of God’s creation, it is because of our Mother. She is the first one to cry emotionally at our graduation. It’s important to thank her for all the love and work she put in through the years.
We know how important she is in the world, not just as a mother, but as a woman who has always tried to do her best to be kind, generous, and loving. At the end of the day she is more than just a mother. She deserves an unconditional love, respect, recognition and admiration.
A Mother always teaches her children and raises them in a way that helped to ensure their success. She teaches her children the value of hard work, truthfulness, honesty and cleanliness. She is the first faith formatter of her children. She has a true concern for the growth and well-being of her children. Mothers are the wonderful and amazing gifts to us and no one can replace them in our lives.
On this mother’s day, let us thank our mothers who are with us and who are in heaven for their sacrifice and impartial love they showed us. Let us remember that Mother is always a mother and NO one Can replace her in our lives.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
Sunday, May 9th is Mother’s Day and it is always a very special day for a family and a parish. We especially wish to remember our dear mothers who have been called by God to eternal life. Due to the pandemic, we invite you to call the Parish Office to add the names of your deceased mothers to the remembrance book. They will be remembered and prayed for at all the Masses on Mother’s Day.
You will agree that there is Only One Mother in our life. This poem summarizes the role and important place of a mother in our life.
“Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky,
hundreds of shells on the shore together,
hundreds of birds that go singing by,
hundreds of lambs in the sunny weather,
hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
but only one mother the world wide over.”
So keep all the mothers in our prayers and may the Lord bless all of them through the intercession of Our Mother Mary, who is the model of all Mothers. Hence, I invite you to pray this for our mothers:
I said a Mother’s Day Prayer for You
I said a Mother’s Day Prayer for you to thank the Lord above for blessing me with a lifetime of your tenderhearted love. I thank God for the caring you’ve shown me through the years, for the closeness we’ve enjoyed in times of laughter and of tears. And so, I thank you from my heart for all you’ve done for me and I bless the Lord for giving me the best mother there could be!
